Hefei Xinqiao International Airport is a domestic Class 4E hub trunk airport, located in Gaoliu Town, Feixi County, Hefei City, Anhui Province, 31.8 kilometers from the city center.
Hefei Xinqiao International Airport features one runway 3,400 meters long and 45 meters wide, and one parallel taxiway; a terminal building with a floor area of 108,500 square meters; 27 passenger aircraft stands on the apron; and supporting facilities including communications, navigation, meteorology, fuel supply, water supply, power supply, gas supply, heating, airline bases, and corresponding administrative and living facilities. The total investment for the project is estimated at 3.728 billion yuan.
On May 29, 2013, Hefei Luogang Airport relocated to Hefei Xinqiao International Airport, which officially commenced operations at midnight on May 30, 2013.
In August 2010, Beijing Jinghang'an Airport Engineering Co., Ltd. undertook the airfield lighting, apron lighting, and ground power supply projects for the airfield area of Hefei Xinqiao International Airport. In 2015, the company undertook projects including the supporting power supply renovation for the jet bridge auxiliary power unit (GPU) retrofit project. All projects passed final acceptance inspections at the first attempt and were successfully handed over for use.
